Charities make use of almost every holiday they can to inspire people to donate and with Valentine’s Day quickly approaching there is a wide varietly of themed events and projects going on this month. Some of my favourites!

Celebrity Filofax Organiser Auction

“Breast Cancer Campaign has asked a range of celebrities to customise a pink Filofax pocket organiser for Valentine’s Day. Filofax has been working with Breast Cancer Campaign since 2004 when they launched a pink pocket organiser to raise funds for the charity. Since then the range has expanded to include a pink pen, lizard print leather pocket organiser and a matching passport cover, purse and accessory case – Filofax has so far raised over £450,000 for the charity from the sale of these items. Bid for one of these unique celebrity organisers and help Filofax to reach its £500,000 fundraising target this year, which marks five years of fundraising for Breast Cancer Campaign.”

Eve Ensler’s V-Day Organization

Every year community organizations get the rights to put on a production of the Vagina Monologues to promote awareness on women’s rights and domestic violence. I recently performed in the Northumberland Services for Women production in January. Look out for events during the month of February in your own town.
